Aramid fiber is a high-performance synthetic material belonging to the category of aromatic polyamide fibers, with the following core characteristics:
♦ Material characteristics
- High strength and high modulus:
The strength is 5-6 times that of steel wire, the modulus can reach 2-3 times that of steel wire, and the density is only one-fifth of steel, achieving lightweight performance.
- High temperature resistance and corrosion resistance:
It can withstand high temperatures of 560 ℃ without decomposition or melting, and is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion.
- Versatility:
It has low thermal conductivity, low dielectric constant, insulation and anti-aging characteristics, and is suitable for extreme environments.
♦ Main types
- Meta aramid (such as Nomex):
Using meta phenylenediamine and meta phenylenediacyl chloride as raw materials, it is commonly used in high-temperature protective clothing, electrical insulation materials, and other fields.
- Para aramid (such as Kevlar, Twaron):
Using p-phenylenediamine and p-phenylenediacyl chloride as raw materials, it is commonly used in bulletproof equipment, aerospace composite materials, etc.

- Industry and Military Industry:
Bullet proof vests, rocket components, spacecraft flag fabrics (such as displaying the national flag on the moon).
- Civilian products:
